Standings Tie-breaker procedures

General Description

If two teams end the regular season with the same record, the following process will be used to determine the playoff seedings.

Higher Seeds will host playoff games through until Championship Game. If Higher seed is unable to provide reasonable accommodations within an applicable timeframe to complete the game in order to keep the playoff schedule of the league, the league has a right to move the game to the lower seed or alternate location.

Tie-Breakers

1. Head-to-Head: head to head game between the two teams that played one another, this is regardless of GD. If Team A played Team B and won, 1-0, but Team B had a +13 GD and Team A only had a +5 GD, Team B would still have the first tie breaker.

2. Goal Differential: Goals For (GF) minus Goals Allowed (GA) = Goal Differential (GD). Higher Goal Differential has higher ranking. For example, if Team A has scored 10 goals (GF) on the season and allowed 3 (GA), their GD is +7. And if Team B has scored 11 goals (GF) and allowed 10 goals (GA), their GD is +1. Team A would be ranked higher. Reminder, if the GD is a negative number, -1 is higher than -10.

3. Goals For: The highest number of goals scored will be the final tie-breaker, if it remains tied after the first two criteria have been exhausted.
